Welcome to the 7th International Mother Language Day Celebration Blog!

Welcome everyone. We are very happy to see you here.
You have entered a special blog on the activities and the written creations of our students and teachers for the IHLA celebration of the 7th Annual International Mother Language Day!

IHLA, the International and Heritage Languages Association, is a non-profit organization that resides in Edmonton, Alberta,Canada. We support, promote and enhance language education at the community level through our many member schools and our great network of friends, partners and supporters.

This blog contains information and updates on our annual celebration of the International Mother Language Day event, a UNESCO festivity that was set wit the goal of celebrating mother tongues around the world. We are at the 7th year of celebrating this special day with our community members.

In this blog you will find links to our updates, the poster information and activities of our event, but especially the e-version of the stories that students in our member schools write each year following a theme.

Languages: Connections and Identities.

Visit each school blog entry to read the fantastic stories the children and adult students in our schools have written in their own languages. We will update these blog entries on a regular basis.
